Tantang Qualcomm, Huawei Garap Prosesor 8 Core

Jakarta - Tak hanya Samsung dan Apple yang kini mulai mengembangkan prosesor sendiri. Huawei rupanya tak mau kalah. Perusahaan asal China ini baru saja mengumumkan prosesornya yang telah mengusung teknologi octa core.

Seperti Exynos milik Samsung, prosesor Huawei yang dinamai Kirin itu juga mengadopsi teknologi ARM big.LITLE. Teknologi ini mengandalkan 2 jenis prosesor quad core di dalamnya.

Arsitektur yang digunakan kedua prosesor pun sama seperti pada Exynos, yakni Cortex –A15 untuk menangani beban berat dan Cortex-A7 untuk pekerjaan ringan. Selain itu, dibenamkan pula teknologi Heterogeneous yang memungkinkan kedua prosesor saling membantu.

Menilik soal kinerjanya, seperti prosesor seperti Snapdragon 801 milik Qualcomm pun harus mengakui keunggulannya. Berdasarkan sebuah hasil benchmark, prosesor dengan tipe Kirin 920, tercatat mencetak skor sebesar 37.363 poin.

Dalam pengujian menggunakan aplikasi AnTuTu, seperti detikINET kutip dari Vr-Zone, Sabtu (8/3/2014), Snapdragon 801 yang banyak digunakan di smartphone dan tablet, harus puas berada di bawahnya dengan torehan skor sebesar 36.469 poin.

Kirin 920 juga dibekali chip grafis Mali-T624, dukungan RAM DDR3 800 MHz dual-channel, dan resolusi layar mencapai 2560x1600 pixel. Selain itu, prosesor dengan delapan otak ini juga mendukung teknologi 4G-LTE.
